The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Melbourne is one of the world's great children's hospitals. We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children fr om Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead up a new team at the Royal Children's Hospital as we move to a brand new facility in November this year.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to be responsible for coordinating the team of theatre technicians, responsible for rostering, allocation and other management responsibilities to ensure the team is competent and provides a quality service.
As well as to Evaluate and contribute to policies, procedures and processes within the peri operative environment. To contribute to technical expertise as a member of the health care team under direction of nursing, anaesthetic and surgical staff to deliver patient care within operating theatres including setting up the environment, transporting and positioning the patient and cleaning and maintaining the theatre equipment and environment.
Mandatory
• Mayfield theatre technician certificate
• Proven background working in similar role as a team leader
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor & guide the performance of more junior Technicians.
Desired
• Recognized qualification in training and assessment (cert iv)
• Recognized qualification in management
