As an experienced electrical engineer you are looking for an opportunity that is a little bit different, that will provide you with a diversity of challenges not easily found.

With national infrastructure, at locations in both capital cities and remote country and bush sites, the challenges are not only the diversity of equipment but also access, reliability, maintenance and logistics. Supporting safety critical and highly regulated equipment adds not only to the challenge but provides a distinct sense of achievement.

You will be joining a team responsible for ensuring the day to day availability of assets, looking at the future maintenance requirements, planning for upgrades and technology replacements. You understand the need for good maintenance planning and requirements analysis to support field maintenance teams and new project implementation.

Some of the technology that you will be involved in and expected to have prior experience in include;

• UPS
• DC Systems
• Electrical Control Systems
Power Monitoring
• Lighting
• Switchboards

An excellent communicator you are able to get your ideas across with ease. You are adaptable and quick thinking, with a diversity of experience to ensure that you can provide meaningful support to a variety of problems and scenarios. Methodical and organised you can work with the rigid standards required of such a regulated and safety critical industry. You enjoy learning and developing but are looking for a position that will provide you with both stability and growth.

You are able to look at the nitty gritty of the project but also the wider system and its influence on other systems and projects. You are also aware of the wider business and the demands of stakeholders.

Able to liaise closely with both capital project delivery teams and maintenance activity teams, you understand the considerations of life cycles and processes such as LORA and LCC. You also have an appreciation of systems engineering standards.

Ideally you will have started your career in a hands on trade role, so you can understand the hands on challenges of remote locations, safety critical equipment and turn around times. But you will have since developed yourself into a leadership/engineering role and have furthered your career with a tertiary qualification in engineering.

Due to the national projects involved in this position you will be expected to be available for some travel. This position will be based In Brisbane.
