Join a high profile Telecommunication network infrastructure project. This government organisation is experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a Network Manager for a 12 month contract based in Melbourne’s CBD.
As a Network Manager for Construction projects you will be responsible for:
- Manage relationships with contractors for a major telecoms and cabling network roll-out
- Providing and maintaining a safe work environment, with no risks to employees/contractors by identifying and evaluating occupational hazards.
- Managing field activities associated network installations
- Liaising with the Network Manager in relation to cable relocation
- Monitor the construction activities of a large scale infrastructure project
- Assist the Project Manager Infrastructure with regards to design and installation
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Extensive experiencing in construction and maintenance of copper/ optical fibre cable networks
- Experience with budget and contract management
- Practical project management experience
- Ability to manage third party (Contractor) relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships with all staff members is a must
- Knowledge of OHS and Safety requirements for large scale infrastructure projects with personnel based in the field
