As a Product Specialist for GC-MS you have the opportunity to become a valued member of a growing global, scientific distributor. Amongst other benefits on offer, your Base Salary will range from $70,000 - $75,000 + 9% Super + $18,000 Car Allowance or FMV + Commission + Tools of Trade, providing a first year OTE of $120,000+. Additionally, your transition into the company and role will be supported with an induction program and product training specific to your needs. To enable you to focus on the responsibilities of your role you will have the support of other Product Specialists, Account Managers and Sales Managers.  Aware of an ever changing industry and your need to remain at the forefront of your field, this employer will provide constant training to upskill you and the opportunity to professionally develop into other roles within the company that are not necessarily restricted to your current expertise. The direction of your career is in your control!

What you will be doing:
As the Product Specialist for GC-MS you will primarily seek new business opportunities and manage and develop established accounts within your assigned Australian territory. You will provide a consultative, solution based sales approach based on the needs of the customer promoting GC, GC-MS, AA, ICP and ICP-MS. A natural relationship builder you will be networking with key decision makers within biotechnology companies, academia, pharmaceutical, environmental, food, hospital/healthcare and pathology. You will utilise your passion for science and research, your technical aptitude and competitor product knowledge to position and promote both new and current products. You will relish the opportunity to exhibit your expertise by presenting at industry symposiums/conferences and trade shows.

You must have to apply to this role:   

• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biosciences or Life sciences 
• Proven sales track record into the Life sciences market especially research laboratories in Academia, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Environmental, Food and Clinical.
• Hands on laboratory experience and market knowledge of relevant applications related to GC, GC-MS, AA, ICP, ICP-MS.
• New business driven with a concise understanding of the sales process. 
• Strong understanding/focus on building customer relationships.
• Strong presentation, organisation, communication, time management and problem solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously

You will be highly regarded if you also have: :

• Organised and presented at industry tradeshows and conferences.
• Ambitious, results driven, go getter attitude
